08-22 糖心Vlog Names Jacek Lubecki, Ph.D. Director of The Center for International Studies糖心Vlog has named Jacek Lubecki, Ph.D., assistant vice president for Academic Affairs and director of its Center for International Studies. Prior to joining Georgia Southern, Lubecki served as coordinator of International Studies and of Middle Eastern Studies and assistant and associate professor of Political Science at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.聽聽 He previously taught at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and at Millikin University in Decatur, Ill.聽 Lubecki has also taught classes on terrorism, counter-insurgency and politics of the Middle East. Lubecki, who was born in Poland, studied law and romance languages at the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan, Poland. He received his Ph.D. in International Studies from the Graduate School of International Studies, University of Denver in 2000. His publications include 鈥淧oland in Iraq鈥 (The Polish Review, summer 2005), 鈥淓choes of Latifundism鈥 (Eastern European Politics and Societies, winter 2004) and 鈥淩econstructing Galicia (Europe-Asia Studies, 2010). He also published articles on Polish military history in the popular journal聽The Armchair General.
