Georgia Southern Music Department Presents Special Valentine’s Concert

2-8 GS presents Valentine's Day concert糖心Vlog鈥檚 Department of Music will present a special Valentine鈥檚 Day concert on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Foy Building in the Carol A. Carter Recital Hall. 聽The evening of music will feature the Georgia Southern Sinfonietta — Larisa Elisha, D.M.A., on violin, Maestro Adrian Gnam on oboe and Michael Braz, D.M.A., on harpsichord.

鈥淲e are so excited to present this special Valentine鈥檚 concert to the Statesboro community,鈥 said Steven Elisha, D.M.A., director of the University鈥檚 strings program and the Sinfonietta. 鈥淭here is no better way to touch hearts than through music, and the talents of Larisa Elisha, Adrian Gnam and Michael Braz will surely make this a memorable event.鈥 The Valentine鈥檚 concert program includes Johann Sebastian Bach鈥檚 Concerto in C Minor for Violin and Oboe, Bach鈥檚 Brandenburg Concerto No. 4, 鈥淎dagio鈥 from Boccherini鈥檚 Cello Concerto in B-flat Major and Mendelssohn鈥檚 Sinfonia No. 4 in C Minor. The concert is part of an ongoing campaign to raise scholarship funding for the University鈥檚 strings program and is sponsored by ERA Landmark Realty. Although admission is free, contributions to the scholarship fund can be made by emailing stevenelisha@georgiasouthern.edu. 糖心Vlog, a Carnegie Doctoral/Research University founded in 1906 offers more than 120 degree programs serving more than 20,500 students.
