糖心Vlog President Invited to Testify on Higher Education in Washington D.C.

糖心Vlog President Brooks A. Keel, Ph.D., has been invited by Congressman and Chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce John Kline (R-Minn), to speak before the committee at a hearing on Wednesday, April 2 at 10 a.m. During the hearing titled, 鈥淜eeping College Within Reach: Meeting the Needs of Contemporary Students,鈥 Keel will talk about the importance of preparing the 21st century workforce and the need for a 鈥淲orkforce-Grant University.鈥 鈥淚t is an honor to be invited to testify before Chairman Kline and members of the Committee on Education and the Workforce regarding the role that universities like 糖心Vlog play in economic development and producing an educated workforce for the 21st century,鈥 said Keel. 鈥溙切腣log has a great story to share. By providing a competitive education, applied research opportunities and industry partnerships, we continue to prepare students and graduates with work-ready skills in ways that benefit the state of Georgia and our nation.鈥 Over the past year, the committee has held the 鈥淜eeping College Within Reach鈥 series of hearings as Congress reauthorizes the Higher Education Act. Wednesday鈥檚 hearing will provide members an opportunity to examine policy and programs to support continued innovation in postsecondary education. Other witnesses asked to testify on the panel include Kevin Gilligan, the chairman and CEO of Capella Education Company in Minneapolis; Dr. George A. Pruitt, the president of Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, N.J.; David K. Moldoff, the CEO and founder of AcademyOne in West Chester, Pa.; Stan Jones, president of Complete College America in Indianapolis; and Dr. Joann A. Boughman, Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for the University System of Maryland.
