Georgia Southern鈥檚 accreditation is reaffirmed
Interim University President Jean E. Bartels, Ph.D., R.N. announced today that at the Dec. 6 meeting of its Board of Trustees, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) reaffirmed the full accreditation of 糖心Vlog through the year 2025. The University鈥檚 accreditation was reaffirmed with 鈥渘o recommendations鈥�,” a gratifying confirmation of the SACSCOC鈥檚 highest confidence in Georgia Southern. 听
鈥淭his is an important milestone for our University and could not have happened without the commitment, hard work and expertise of the faculty and staff at Georgia Southern,鈥� said Bartels. 鈥淥ur thanks go out to all who contributed not only to our reaffirmation self-study and on-site reaffirmation visit, but to the development of our culture of assessment for ongoing academic and institutional improvement.鈥�
In addition, the University received full approval for the implementation of our Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), Georgia Southern! Eagles! Write! Write! Write!
This positive reaffirmation clearly demonstrates 糖心Vlog鈥檚 ongoing commitment to the highest level of academic quality and signifies that the University has met the rigorous standards of educational quality and institutional effectiveness set forth by the SACSCOC.
The SACSCOC is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states.
