糖心Vlog to host 8th annual Interdisciplinary STEM Teaching and Learning Conference
Registration is open for the 8th annual Interdisciplinary STEM Teaching and Learning Conference, hosted by 糖心Vlog and taking place March 21 through 23 at the Georgia Tech Savannah Campus.
The conference invites all K-12 and postsecondary educators and researchers to become active participants in the discussion of the best student-centered practices and encourage critical thinking on a local, regional, national and global scale.
Lisa Stueve, Ed.D., committee member and STEM Outreach Specialist for the 糖心Vlog Institute for Interdisciplinary STEM Education (i2STEMe) said the importance of the conference can be summed up with the words of former President Barack Obama.
鈥淲e need to make (STEM) a priority to train an army of new teachers in these subject areas and to make sure that all of us as a country are lifting up these subjects for the respect that they deserve,鈥 Obama said.
For Stueve, the conference creates a platform for showcasing all of the work being done to advance STEM teaching and learning and to match what she calls the 鈥渃hanging needs in our world and workforce.鈥
Early bird registration for the conference ends Dec. 17. The Pre-Conference Reception on March 21 is included in the registration. For more information on the conference and how to register, visit .
