SOAR Registration Details

All students are required to attend a SOAR session prior to enrolling in classes*. SOAR sessions are led by current Georgia Southern students who will be a great resource for you to ask questions of and show you what it means to be a Georgia Southern student! You will also be able to meet with an academic advisor, who will advise you on which classes have been selected for your first semester.

*There are some specific populations this may not apply for. More details can be found by reviewing your start term information.

SOAR Reservation Process

To make a reservation please click the 鈥淩egister鈥 button below and log-in to your Admissions Status Check Page to access our SOAR registration system.

  • Enter your last name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your Eagle ID or Social Security number. Click the 鈥淐heck Status鈥 button.
  • In the Orientation tab, click on the 鈥淪OAR Online Reservation Form鈥 link.
  • Follow the instructions by selecting a SOAR session and completing your reservation with a credit card payment.
  • If you have any questions during the reservation process, call 912.478.7627 or email orientation@georgiasouthern.edu.

Accessing your SOAR Confirmation Letter

  • After reserving your SOAR session, return to the .
  • Enter your last name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your Eagle ID or Social Security number. Click the 鈥淐heck Status鈥 button.
  • In the Orientation Information tab, click on the 鈥淩eview/Edit My Reservation鈥 link.  View the receipt.

Changing Your SOAR Reservation

Students are able to change their desired SOAR session for the same term as currently registered through our .

If a student updates their admissions term, they can transfer their SOAR fee to their new term.聽This is only available for updates within two academic terms of the original session.聽For example, a student registered for a Spring 2026 SOAR session can transfer their fee to a Summer 2026 session or a Fall 2026 session. No partial refunds will be given if the new session is at a lesser cost. If a student would like to request to have their SOAR fee transferred to a new term they must email our office at orientation@georgiasouthern.edu prior to registering for the new term.

Canceling Your SOAR Reservation / SOAR Refund Policy

All SOAR registration fees are non-refundable. No refunds will be given to students who decide not to attend Georgia Southern after registering for SOAR.

Guest fees are also non-refundable. Students may transfer their guest registration fee to another person if a previously registered guest is unable to attend.

Refunds will also not be given to students who change a previously scheduled SOAR session to a session of a lesser cost.
