Averitt College of Graduate Studies, was recently elected president of NAGAP, the Association for Graduate Enrollment Management. She is the first African American to hold the role of president in the association.
Georgia Southern student awarded military family scholarship
Thanks to her school work, impact on the community and the trials she’s overcome in her personal life, Brown was awarded a $9,000 Robert S. Haywood Scholarship. This scholarship is available to students attending Georgia Southern who have or had parents who served in the military.

TEDxSavannah is one of the city’s most anticipated annual events, offering individuals and organizations in Savannah a platform to meet, share ideas and collaborate.
In its 13th year, TEDxSavannah will take place in ÌÇÐÄVlog’s Fine Arts Auditorium on the Armstrong Campus on May 16 from 1 to 5 p.m. with special rates for Georgia Southern students, faculty and staff. Doors open at noon and a special TEDxSavannah speaker meet-and-greet will immediately follow the main event.
