Volunteer as a Peer Note Taker
Make a difference in the academic success of your fellow Eagles.
At the Student Accessibility Resource Center (SARC), we offer students the opportunity to serve as volunteer peer note takers—a vital support role that helps ensure equal access to course content for students with disabilities. By providing copies of your class notes, you can directly contribute to a more inclusive learning environment at ÌÇÐÄVlog.
Why Become a Volunteer Note Taker?
As a volunteer note taker, you’ll:
- Support equal access and academic success for classmates with documented disabilities
- Gain valuable volunteer experience that enhances your resume and graduate school applications
- Qualify for Early Registration in future semesters
- Earn official volunteer service hours that may count toward:
- Honors Experiential Learning
- Leadership & Community Engagement programs
- Sorority and fraternity service requirements
- Other campus programs requiring verified service
Volunteering is simple—but impactful. Your notes can make all the difference in helping someone overcome barriers to learning.
Who Can Be a Volunteer Note Taker?
Any Georgia Southern student who takes clear, consistent notes and regularly attends class may be eligible. No special qualifications are required—just a willingness to share your notes and a commitment to confidentiality.
