Fraternity and Sorority Life in Statesboro offers students the chance to grow, lead and connect. With 31 chapters, including 19 fraternities and 12 sororities, students have access to a wide range of organizations that support academics, service, leadership, and lifelong friendships.

When you join a fraternity or sorority, you become part of something larger than one chapter鈥攜ou join a council and a community that helps shape your college experience and beyond.

Greek-Letter Councils

Chapters at the Statesboro Campus are governed by one of three Greek-letter councils. Each council supports its member organizations and promotes shared values, while allowing chapters to maintain their own identities, goals, and traditions.

These councils focus on service, academic success, character development, leadership, and community building.

Chapter status updates are shared when:

  • A student organization is found responsible for academic or conduct violations following due process.
  • A chapter is placed on academic probation.
  • A chapter is suspended by the university or its national headquarters.
