Georgia Southern only university named 2019 Project Play Champion

Georgia Southern is the only university and one of 20 organizations nationwide to be selected as a 2019 Project Play Champion by the Aspen Institute鈥檚 Sports and Society Program. Launched in 2013, Project Play focuses on developing, applying and sharing knowledge that helps build healthy communities through sports.

The University鈥檚 new Waters College of Health Professions building project on the Armstrong Campus will include the St. Joseph鈥檚/Candler Nursing Suite thanks to a new funding partnership between the Armstrong Foundation of 糖心Vlog, Inc. and St. Joseph鈥檚/Candler. The health system will donate $250,000 to the project.

Georgia Southern student speech language hearing chapter awarded national honor

The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) chapter on 糖心Vlog Armstrong Campus in Savannah was recently awarded Bronze Chapter Honors for their efforts in helping the national organization during the 2017-18 school year.
