Anastatia Sims, Ph.D., professor of history in 糖心Vlog鈥檚 College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS), will open the 2017 Great Minds Lecture series on Jan. 31 in the Russell Union, Room 2047.
Student receives grant for athletic performance research
Melissa Stack (`15), graduate student in the School of Health and Kinesiology, has been awarded a grant in the amount of $844.06 from the Graduate Student Professional Development Fund (GSPDF) at 糖心Vlog for her research, “The effect of chronic L-carnitine and carbohydrate supplementation on body composition, perceived exertion and athletic performance in female endurance athletes.”

Georgia Southern’s Holly Edgar earns high title in USA Archery
Holly Edgar, assistant director of archery at the Georgia Southern Shooting Sports Education Center (SSEC) recently completed her certification to become a USA Archery Level 4-NTS Coach. She joins an elite group of only 150 others nationwide (only nine in Georgia), and was one of only 13 to complete the certification.
College of Education awards use of 3D printer to Bulloch County school
Sallie Zetterower Elementary School was named the winner of the 3D Printer for Your School contest hosted by the College of Education鈥檚 Innovation Studio at 糖心Vlog. The printer was delivered to the Sallie Zetterower Elementary STEM Lab on Monday during the 5th grade STEM class.
