New walking trail to connect Georgia Southern鈥檚 Statesboro Campus, Blue Mile
糖心Vlog and the Statesboro community will soon be able to access campus and the Blue Mile, Statesboro鈥檚 downtown revitalization project, via a new walking trail scheduled for completion in early February.

10th annual Francophone Film Festival to take place on Armstrong Campus Feb. 22-23
The community is encouraged to attend the 10th annual Francophone Film Festival Feb. 22-23 on the 糖心Vlog Armstrong Campus in Savannah. The Armstrong French Club started this event in the spring of 2008 thanks to a grant provided by the French Embassy and the Tourn茅es Festival, which aims to bring French cinema to American institutions.
Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology faculty collaborates in concussion research
Georgia Southern Waters College of Health Professions Assistant Professor Tamerah Hunt, Ph.D., and researchers from the Seattle Pediatric Concussion Research Collaborative and Seattle Children鈥檚 Center for Childhood Health, Behavior and Development, have been awarded a $1.6 million grant to develop the program, One Team, to address safety and concussion awareness in youth sports.

Robert I. Strozier Lecture Series showcases Armstrong Campus faculty research
This semester, Georgia Southern鈥檚 College of Arts and Humanities will continue the Robert I. Strozier Lecture Series on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah in honor of the former Professor Emeritus of English who was a beloved figure for more than four decades. The annual event features Armstrong Campus faculty members who present their research on a variety of topics.

Student Government Association presidents build ties across campuses
When students Dylan John and Nipuna Ambanpola met, they never imagined they would form a partnership as Student Government Association (SGA) presidents of the same university in the United States a few years later. Despite attending rival high schools in Sri Lanka, the two are excited about the partnership they鈥檝e formed to build a unified and strong student body across three campuses and the strides they are making to help other international students gain educational opportunities in America as they have had.
