Leadership in the Lowcountry
Eagles in Action: Leadership in the Lowcountry is a unique experiential learning opportunity that connects service and social justice. Held during Black History Month, this annual day trip invites Georgia Southern students to engage in meaningful conversations, hands-on service, and historical exploration—all in reflection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy.
Students will travel to Charleston, SC to visit the International African American Museum, participate in a local service project, and take part in a guided tour of historic downtown Charleston. Meals, transportation, and admission are included for a nominal fee.
This experience is open to all Georgia Southern students. Financial assistance is available. Participation is limited and spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve your spot, complete the application and submit the required non-refundable fee.
